NEW for 2023!
The run/walk portion of the races will be on the Route 66 Hike & Bike Trails at Lake Lou Yaeger!
This years race will benefit Aaron Roach.
Aaron has suffered a head/brain injury as a result of a motorcycle accident. After 54 days in the hospitial – 2 ambulance rides, a helicopter ride, 1 major surgery to remove part of his skull to relieve pressure, 2 other procedures, several CTs, MRIs, X-rays and lab work, 2 weeks in ICU sedated on a paralytic and intubates, and 1 month in Chicago doing rehab, he is finally home.
He will still have to do out-patient rehab and have another surgery to put his skull cap back on but is lucky to be alive and walking & talking.
We hope you come out to support this young man.
5K-ish trail run & Biathlon.
USAT sanctioned BIATHLON. First-time athletes are welcome and we expect some serious racing as well. Run 5K on the trails and bike 15 miles.
Awards to top male and female in each race category and top 3 age-division finishers for males and females: Under 19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, etc.
USAT sanctioned. USAT rules require bar ends to be plugged, no charge.

In case of dangerous cycling conditions Biathlon will be converted to a 10K run. No refunds.
The race director(s) reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the race due to adverse weather or emergency conditions that make race conditions unsafe. In the event the race is cancelled, there will be no refunds. Awards and shirts will not be mailed.
Race Day Details:
Packet Pick up 8:45 am – 9:45 am.
Biathlon Athletes: Please have your ID and your USAT membership card if you are a member. If you can not show your membership card, you will be required to purchase a 1 day pass.
If you purchased a 1 day pass during registration, please bring that information and your ID.
Same Day Registration 8:45 am – 9:45 am.

You must have a bike helmet to participate in the Bi.
Bar ends must be plugged.
Race starts at 10 am.
Directions:
From I-55, take Exit 52 toward Litchfield
-Continue East on Illinois Route 16/Union Avenue for approximately 2 Miles
-Turn Left on Yaeger Lake Trail (on the Left, across from Elmwood Cemetery) Follow Yaeger Lake Trail for approximately 1.8 miles
-Turn Left onto Park Road (if you cross the dam you have gone too far)
-Picnic Area 4 will be on the right
From Hillsboro
-Take Illinois Route 16
-Turn Right on Yaeger Lake Trail (on the Right, across from Elmwood Cemetery) Follow Yaeger Lake Trail for approximately 1.8 miles
-Turn Left onto Park Road (if you cross the dam you have gone too far)
-Picnic Area 4 will be on the right
