The Lunch and Learn speakers for Friday, Oct. 25, will be this year’s Litchfield Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award winners from The Journal-News. Owner John M. Galer and his daughter, Publisher Mary (Galer) Herschelman, will talk about the importance of local news in today’s economy and how to market your business locally.
Galer has served as both the president of the Illinois Press Association and the National Newspaper Association, and continues to be a stalwart for supporting local news around the country. Herschelman earned her bachelor of journalism degree at the University of Missouri in photojournalism and continues to share her talents over the past 20 years.
