Long Term Care – Carle Richland Memorial Hospital

A comprehensive range of services is offered to residents of the Long Term Care Unit.  A multidisciplinary team of Physicians, Nurses, CNAs, Activity Director and Licensed Social Worker develop an individualized plan of care for each resident. Residents and their families are welcome to attend care planning meetings to provide input.

Activity Program

A diverse activity program is offered to encourage socialization and creativity.

Beauty/Barber Shop

On-site beauty/barber shop services are available to help our residents look their best.

Laundry Services

Personal laundry services are provided by the Laundry Department.

Nursing Services

Through comprehensive assessments, nursing promotes quality care and provides services requiring specialized skills. Pertinent reports are made to physicians and other staff about changes in the resident’s condition and needs. CNAs help with personal care. Nursing care is provided 24-hours a day.

Pastoral Care

Religious activities are provided within the facility for those who wish to participate. Nondenominational services are held on Sundays and Wednesdays, and Chaplain services are available.

Rehabilitation Services

Rehab services offered on the unit include physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and respiratory therapy.

Social Services

A Licensed Social Worker meets with the resident and his/her family to assess strengths and needs, to help with coping, and to provide support for the family. Information about resources and services, as well as assistance with coordinating arrangements, is provided.

Support Services

Because the unit is located within the hospital, residents enjoy immediate access to all services and staff provided by Carle Richland Memorial Hospital, including dietary, cardiac, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy.
